A Personal Note from the Artist

This album was recorded with love in my kitchen and bedroom. If you hear a car going by in the background or the drain-pipes rattling, that's why. We wanted to capture the total environment of the sessions as they unfolded. Some great musicians contributed performances on this collection of songs, including Dan Weber and Tige DeCoster of Crosseyed and Jarrod Kaplan of Trillian Green and Hanuman.

Each one of these nine tracks tells a story or paints a picture from real life. The arrangements are simple and to the point so they don't get in the way of the songs. We hope you enjoy listening to the Kitchen Sessions as much as we enjoyed recording them.
